click!

december seems to be the month of clicking for me...

in early december i was part of the tech team, as the photographer, for the One Hope Benefit concert at Portico, with special guest Sara Groves. leading up to the concert weekend i was at the church every night figuring out my friend's camera and experimenting with all the lenses i had as options.  i also used the opportunity to become familiar with how the concert would flow on the weekend.  you can ask a couple people, i was a bit stressed about it and worried that i wouldn't do a good job, but i think overall (and with lots of tips from friends and editing) i got a handful of decent shots.
this has re-inspired me to look into taking a photography class in the new year to learn more about what my camera can do and hopefully get some tips/secrets on taking great photos!!

the giant camera i carried all week.. it was heavy! :)

after christmas i went with my friend nichole (and her brother & his gf) to a shooting range! yep, i not only held a gun, i shot it too! this wasn't exactly a "planned" december activity, but it certainly fits the bill. i met nichole in london and then we headed over to the range together. definitely a fun little adventure... we even did a bit of archery!

the month started with camera clicking, but finished with a BANG! :)
